Christmas Tree

Chosen at Peak Farms

Officials from the White House were in Ashe County on Wed, Oct 20 to select a tree for the upcoming holiday season. White House Ground Superintendent Dale Haney was at Peak Farms in Jefferson, NC to choose a tree. The chosen tree, which is about 30 years old, will be harvested on Nov. 17. Peak Farms owners Rusty and Beau Estes, along with their family, will present the First Lady with the real Fraser fir Christmas tree for display in the White House Blue Room in November.
