Paddy Mountain Park Trails


Explore the 3.6-mile loop trail near Downtown West Jefferson, NC, known for its scenic views and moderate difficulty. Typically taking around 1 hour and 23 minutes to complete, this popular route is great for hiking, birding, and running, though you can still find peace during quieter times. Dogs on leashes are welcome. The trail system includes several loops: the 0.3-mile Access Trail, the 1.1-mile Shag Bark Hickory Loop, and the 1.7-mile Cohosh Loop, which combine for a total of about 3.4 miles. 

From Downtown West Jefferson, continue north on 194 for 1/4 mile and turn left onto Ridge Ave. The park is on your immediate right.
