Railroad Grade Road Biking
Posted On Tuesday, May 15, 2012
Railroad Grade Road has long been known as a great spot for North
Carolina mountain biking, and is a quick 10 mile paved road that runs
between Fleetwood NC and Todd NC. Built on an old railroad grade that
was part of the Virginia Creeper Trail, Railroad Grade Road is almost
flat the whole 10 miles and very narrow. In fact, Railroad Grade Road is
so narrow that there is no center stripe dividing it into two lanes,
and in some places it is not wide enough for two cars to pass one
another.

To spend the day Railroad Grade Road biking, you can access the road in Todd or in Fleetwood. The Todd NC access point is just off NC Hwy 194.
