New Ice Skating Rink in Todd, NC

NEW -- Ice Skating at the "Cook Park" in downtown Todd:

Thanks to a small group of Todd business owners, the materials and labor
were contributed to construct a 18' x 24' ice skating rink. Water was pumped
up from the adjacent stream and Mother Nature is presently taking care of
the freezing process. The rink was completed on Friday night
12/17 at 9:00 PM under a blanket of stars accompanied by 18 degree
temperatures and the sounds of Christmas carols playing . It was truly a
Currier & Ives scene with the surrounding snow covered mountains and pine
trees(see attachment). It's free and open to everyone(as long as the
temperature stays below freezing). So Bundle-up, bring your kids and
grandchildren and don't forget your skates.

Directions from Green Meadows: After crossing the bridge make a left on
Railroad Grade Road. Follow Railroad Grade Road for approximately 4 miles.
"Cook Park" is on the left across from the Todd General Store.
Holiday lights have been strung across the covered pavilion to provide
subtle evening lighting. ROAD CONDITIONS: at present time - a few icy
patches, but basically GOOD
