Set directly on the banks of the New River, Grand River Lodge is an expansive mountain cabin designed for unforgettable gatherings with family and friends. With breathtaking river views, gentle rapids just out front, and ample space indoors and out, this riverfront retreat offers the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and comfort.

Spend your days fishing, kayaking, tubing, or picnicking in the front yard, then unwind on the spacious covered decks overlooking one of North Carolina’s most scenic and historic rivers. The sights and sounds of the flowing water create a peaceful backdrop for every moment of your stay.



Main Level Living

The main level features a large, inviting great room with a wood-burning fireplace, plenty of seating, Smart TV and DVD player, and expansive glass doors that flood the space with natural light and provide direct access to the covered deck. The deck includes a Blackstone gas grill and picnic table—perfect for outdoor meals with a river view.

The spacious, well-equipped kitchen and dining area are open to the living space, making it easy for everyone to gather together. Two full bathrooms with shower/tub combos are also located on this level, along with:

Bedroom with 1 queen bed + twin daybed with twin trundle

Bedroom with 2 twin beds



Upper Level

Primary suite with a king bed, streaming TV, and en-suite bath with shower/jacuzzi tub

Fourth bedroom with 1 full bed and 3 twin beds



Lower Level Fun & Flex Space

The lower level provides a multi-functional gathering area featuring tables, chairs, Smart TV, and a ping pong table—ideal for game nights and rainy-day fun. Additional card tables and folding chairs are available in the laundry room.

Fifth bedroom with 1 queen bed

Sixth bedroom with 1 queen bed (accessed through the laundry room or the fifth bedroom)

Fourth full bathroom with a step-in shower



Outdoor Living & Pet-Friendly Features

Outside, enjoy a large riverfront yard and gather around the fire pit by the water’s edge for s’mores and stargazing. This dog-friendly cabin includes thoughtful touches such as:

A large dog kennel in the lower-level flex space
