Blue Ridge Country’s “Trending Destinations” reader poll was tabulated for 2019. With 9,000+ votes cast, the top 5 destinations were chosen for each state. Nominees from each of Blue Ridge Country's coverage states (VA, WV, KY, TN, NC, SC, GA) were compiled by their editors based on U.S. Travel Association data and were so nominated based on the fastest percentage growth in tourism-related expenditures from 2016 to 2017. And Ashe County was voted in the Top 5 for NC!
