Tweetsie Railroad
Tweetsie Railroad is one of North Carolina’s oldest
attractions and one of the best places to visit in the High
Country. Located in Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad is fun
for all ages, and just a short drive from Ashe County. You
and your loved ones should not miss checking out the Wild
West Theme Park.
Take a ride on #12, Tweetsie’s locomotive, which takes you
on a trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains where you will
encounter robbers, cowboys and even some Indians! Spend the
day exploring the jail on Main Street, or take in a can-can
show at the Cowboy Canteen. Tweetsie Railroad has other
rides as well. Ride up the mountain on the chairlift and
enjoy the shows, kids' games and rides on top. Mine for gold
at the gem mine and visit the deer park. For kids of all
ages, ride the Ferris wheel, tilt o’ world, and scrambler.
Everyone enjoys spending the day exploring Tweetsie
Railroad.
Every Halloween season in October, Tweetsie Railroad also
features the Ghost Train at night. The Ghost Train at
Tweetsie Railroad is a special ride with scary characters
and a haunted house for those brave enough to enter. Visit
