Downtown Lansing, located in Ashe County NC, is home to the New River Winery. New River Winery was started in 2005 by wine enthusiasts who share a common interest in Ashe County and the Blue Ridge Mountains. At this time the Bohemia Gallery is the only tasting outlet for the New River wines. New River Wineries carries three different wines; Bohemia White, Bohemia Red, and Backporch Blueberry.

The white wine, also known as Bohemia White resembles the aromas of apples and citrus. This is a perfect summer wine due to its light taste, and it pairs very well with fish or chicken. The red wine, Bohemia Red is a more dry, Italian-style wine that boasts hints of plum, spice and tobacco. This wine pairs very well with heavier meats and dishes and is perfect for a summer day or even a winter night by the fire. This wine is fermented just right, which allows it to age very well over time. The New River dessert wine, Backporch Blueberry, boasts aromas of vanilla, caramel, and roasted nuts. It pairs very well with spicy foods, desserts, and cheeses. Enjoy New River wines with any type of dish you choose to create or enjoy it by itself with great conversation.
